My world as a book worm

A new year and I am doing better already! Some changes at my place to improve (love decoration and DIY) and several books read already. Not a fan of quantity. I love to feel good about the books I read whether they are classics or excellent chic lit. I include in this list also the ones I read with my toddler. Reading is a fantastic habit and studies prove that helps the brain development if you start at a young age. Later during this month, I am publishing some reviews divided between "Adult reads" and "Children books". Here is the list (feel free to get inspired or telling me why you do not like some book). Today's post is more of a reflection than anything else. Throughout our lives, we do things, we live matters and see people coming and going.  These experiences make us who we are today. Our society is always expecting more and more, and frustration are common. Every person has so many different roles... you are a daughter/son, wife/husband, friend, professional, etc.... but who are you, really, for sure? Who am I? Do you really know?  For me, life has been a rollercoaster but an amazing and beautiful journey.  So why not share with the world? I am a very discreet and not share my whole life kind of person... even a bit an introvert. However, I think its time for me to open a bit and that way to share a bit about myself to you guys. Hey guys! A new week full of opportunities! Not that I have a lot of free time (what is even that??? lol), but my tyre problem is solved! Thanks, Kwikfit ! So now I am really focusing on my last bits of studying. Next Friday I have an OSCE for my A&E course and then hopefully I am done! Fingers crossed and pray for me!!!! Hey mates! Today I had one heck of an experience. Let's say that my Sunday was going amazing until I managed to get a flat tyre!!! And it happened in the worst place ever... middle of a countryside road bah Luckily, there was a police car with two nice policemen that stop to help... but unfortunately, they were not able to change the tyre due to one of the tools to be useless. Guys seriously sometimes things just don't want to happen easily. Always hated paperwork... and today I had the proof that you can find both idiots and amazing people while dealing with drama. The insurance people were not easy to deal on the phone (my hubby was the one who actually managed to talk to them while at work), and people passing by... while I stayed standing for at least 20 minutes with a toddler in my arms, only two cars stopped to help. Hey guys! I realised it has been a while and this happens as a cycle in my blogger life. Once I write a lot and then I am out of the web for a long period. Saying that I don't want to keep apologising, considering that I have a toddler that has more energy than I could ever imagine, and now, a puppy!!! So time is not a thing that I have a lot. However, I don't want to leave this space so I decided to change a little bit the entire blog idea. Why? You ask! Well, I haven't read consistently so, truthfully speaking I don't have much to write.  So, following what I am doing on Instagram (@myworldasabookworm ), I am going to share stuff from my lifestyle, the recipes I try to cook (just try... I do not do fancy stuff lol), tips and things and activities for kids. However, when I went to the book shop and saw such a big book I had my doubts that I would be reading it soon. But then, something happen! I made the decision of subscribe audiobooks from Kobo, to give it a try... and guess what? Found that this book is narrated no other than by Michelle Herself! So then I saw THE oportunity!  Why did I find it so fascinating? Being an autobiograpy narrated by the person herself I could feel the emotions during the reading. Peppa Pig: Chinese New Year By  Neville Astley Published : 27th December 2018 Genre : Children Edition : Paperback Source : Bought Pages : 26 My Rating : 5/5 Goodreads rating : 5/5 Read : February 2019 This is another book from Peppa's collection. Read to my kid on Chinese New Year. Although he is still too young to understand these celebrations and to stay quiet while I'm reading it to you, it is always a good exercise.  What I liked the most is the colours of the book and the simple explanation for this celebration.  He once in a while would stay quiet and listen or just pay attention to the colours which made me happy hehe!

Hello guys! Every beginning of the year we are exposed to several reading challenges and it is difficult to decide which one to take. Last year I went overboard thinking that I would read tons since I was on mat leave. How wrong was I! However, I still managed to read quite a lot. This year I will only tell which challenges I am undertaking after February so I can filter which one really suits me! So far I have read 3 books that I have post the review and 3 more and on its way! I love when you guys give me some kind of feedback and for that I say THANKS!!! However, I felt super disappointed when I started reading but I gave it a shot not to start the year with a DNF book. What can I say? Unfortunately, I couldn't go but this Christmas my husband decided to offer to me. When I saw this book at the bookshops I thought this was going to be something totally different. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the contents. One can think at first that is a disappointment what you find as content but you start reading and enjoying a lot!  Basically, I thought the idea of this book was to show to the muggle world what wizard students were reading at the History of Magic Classes. But no. This book is based on historical artefacts that ancient civilizations had and modern people discovered that can be related to witchcraft....

Hello people! This last year I wanted to do more and read more. As a first-time mum, I lived thinking I was going to have time for everything and being a superwoman. Did not work. Not feeling the guilt.  At the beginning of the year, I set the standards high. Have only completed one challenge. This year, however, have set goals month by month and let's see if they are manageable. Going to try to write once a week at least with at least one weekly review. If the first-month works, I will try to increase.  Again, I am a working mum, a woman, a mum, a wife... so many things... I am still adjusting and adapting. My first goal of all will be to use my time better :) In a month I will let you know what I have accomplished. For now, still closed for holidays, going to meet family in the first few days of January and then I will restart! Have fun and a wonderful 2019 The Book Worm

Hi lovely people! Life is so ironic and at the same time so funny...  More than a year ago I started a journey that would change my life: finding out that I was pregnant and everything changed. Had an amazing pregnant time. No sickness, ate everything, worked almost to the end, exercised and had fun! Then I started my mat leave and all of a sudden had a new life (two weeks before expected) to take care of. I embraced the responsibility and during the fourth trimester, although I was tired, I managed to start this blog.  But then life really began. After a blurry trimester, basically feeding, changing nappies and cuddling, Bubba started growing and wanting more attention from me. Then after six months, he needed to start weaning, and so on and so on.  Now that things are settling and I am really loving this time... I will have to go back to work (buaaaaahhhhhhhh). But that's ok. I will have more discipline and pay more attention to this space (honestly I...

Hello bookworms!!!!! After a very long time here I am! This last few months have been crazy! Between starting weaning my little one and getting a new routine of going to activities and all that.... no time (or energy) for anything else. Still on maternity leave (almost finishing) and preparing myself for a new job... how exciting .... and exhausting can that be? However, I am restarting my writing and I am realistically comiting to 2 to 3 posts a week.
